2011 FOUNDERS DAY WEEKEND DATES
The dates have been set for next year's Founders' Day Weekend and Gala. March 11th, 12th and 13th are sure to be days filled with fun, food and festivities!
The Gala will be on Saturday the 12th and will again be held at the Westwood Country Club in Rocky River. Based on the sold-out success of 2010's Gala, it's not too soon to mark your calendars, as attendance will be limited with Sponsors and Underwriters receiving priority seating.
Last year, events at the Gala raised over 108 thousand dollars with every auction item selling, and even a few extra. Emcees Danny Coughlin and Michael Heaton kept the crowd laughing and bidding all night.
One of the highlights of the evening came during the auction of one of Saint Ignatius' original pews. After the bidding had reached the astounding high mark of nearly three thousand dollars, Father Jim suddenly "remembered" that there was a second pew available for auction!
Other events of the weekend included a Historian's tour of Saint Ignatius of Antioch Church on Friday night and Sunday's free pancake breakfast. All events were successful, well attended and memorable.
Please, save the date for this year's Founders' Day Weekend and Gala!
